We use official or institutional sources only: the IMF World Economic Outlook, World Bank WDI, US Bureau of Labor Statistics, and national statistical agencies. We do not use social media, forums or unsourced estimates. The complete list is on the Data Sources page.
Actuals versus projections
The most recent year in our dataset is based on IMF projections and is revised when the IMF publishes new editions of the World Economic Outlook (April and October). Projected values may differ from the final official figures.
Updates
We refresh the data when the IMF and World Bank publish new editions. The date of the last review is shown on the Data Sources page.
Corrections
If you report an error through the Contact page, we compare it with the original source. Confirmed errors are corrected and the page’s modified date is updated.
